'Dores to hold Elite Clinic on Dec. 5

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Coach Cathy Swezey and the Vanderbilt lacrosse program are happy to announce the addition of a clinic in December.

The Commodores will host an Elite Clinic on Saturday, Dec. 5 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at Vanderbilt for girls ages five through 18. The clinic is open to athletes of all skill range and will focus on skills, position play, team concepts while providing a competitive environment.

Swezey, entering her 19th season at Vanderbilt, will lead the clinic. The two-time American Lacrosse Conference Coach of the Year will be joined by coaches Beth Hewitt and Shannon Gilroy.

Hewitt, associate head coach, enters her second year on staff after five successful seasons as head coach at LeMoyne (N.Y.) College. Gilroy is in her first season on staff after recently graduating from Florida in the spring after finishing her four-year career as one of the most decorated college players ever. The three-time All-American and two-time Tewaaraton Award finalist was also tabbed to the U.S. Women’s National Team.

Registration for the clinic may be paid beforehand through the mail or the day of the clinic. Cost is $75 and includes lunch. For more information, click here.
