Dores to Face Trojans

Vanderbilt heads to Little Rock for season’s final dual meet

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt swimming travels to Little Rock, Arkansas, for the last scheduled competition of the regular season before the SEC Championships. The Commodores will take on Arkansas-Little Rock in a meet that will start Satruday at 11 a.m. CT at the Donaghey Aquatic Center.

It’s just the second time that the Dores will be competing this semester after falling to No. 6 Tennessee last weekend. Tonner DeBeer led Vandy against the Volunteers, out-touching Annie Rimmer in the 100-yard butterfly for a second-place finish. The 200-yard freestyle relay team, consisting of Abby Burke, Faith Knelson, DeBeer and Eleanor Beers, grabbed a second-place finish in 1:43.44. The team’s seniors were also recognized during the meet.

After facing the Trojans, the Dores will begin their preparation for the SEC Championships, which will take place Feb. 15-19 in Knoxville.
