Scouting the Dores: No. 21 Vanderbilt enters the spring slate with four Dores ranked in the preseason Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) rankings: junior Bridget Stammel leads the way at No. 26, sophomore Valeria Ray sits at No. 78, and senior Célia-Belle Mohr and freshman Sophia Webster are No. 11 in doubles. Three members of the team picked up ranked wins in the fall season. Stammel notched victories over No. 41 Emma Jackson of Duke in the ITA All-American Championships and also defeated Tennessee’s No. 81 Catherine Aulia at the Ohio Valley Regional Championships. Mohr and Webster collected two doubles ranked wins, both coming at All-Americans: the pair knocked off No. 13 Margaret Navarro and Sara Ziodato of Virginia before downing TCU’s No. 12 duo of Jade Otway and Isabel Pascual. Mohr also added a singles ranked win of her own at All-Americans, a 6-4, 6-2 result over No. 27 Cristina Tiglea of Baylor.
Last Time Out: The Dores bowed out of the NCAA Singles & Doubles Championships in the first round of singles and the round of 16 in doubles.
