NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The No. 7 Vanderbilt baseball team used a solid outing from Jared Miller and a three-run first inning to even the series with No. 8 LSU. The Commodores took game one of Saturday’s doubleheader 5-3.
Vince Conde went 3-for-4 and drove in the two game-winning runs in the seventh inning to seal the win for the Commodores.
Miller pitched 6.2 innings, allowing just one run on two hits. The big lefty also stuck out two in his first conference start of the season.
Carson Fulmer recorded a perfect ninth inning to pick up his sixth save of the season.
