Dores Set to Host ITA Regionals

Vanderbilt ready to compete in Ohio Valley Regional tournament

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Vanderbilt men’s tennis team will host the annual ITA Ohio Valley Regional tournament beginning on Thursday at the Currey Tennis Center.

“We’re excited to be hosting the regional tournament this weekend. I told our team that I want to see good tennis from us. We’ve been too concerned about the outcome and not enough about the process. Solid execution tends to take care of results,” said head coach Ian Duvenhage.

This weekend’s tournament will mark the Commodores’ fourth fall event.

The Dores enter regionals after competing in the Georgia Tech Invitational in Atlanta. Leading the Dores in the tournament, sophomore Macsen Sisam wrapped up the event by earning a 3-1 record, advancing to the singles finals.

Commodores will open the regional tournament on Thursday at 8 a.m. CT with the first round of doubles followed by the first round of singles.

On Thursday and Friday, matches will be played at both the Currey Tennis Center and Centennial Sportsplex. Admission to both venues is free.
