Dores Set for 2026 Spring Season

Women's tennis looks to continue momentum, begins spring season Jan. 9

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The 2025-26 spring schedule is set for the Vanderbilt women’s tennis team, as the Dores return to action on Jan. 9 for hidden duals hosted by Tennessee before their first dual matches of the year in a Jan. 17 home doubleheader against Western Kentucky and Belmont.

The black and gold take the court after a historic fall season that saw graduate Célia-Belle Mohr and sophomore Sophia Webster advance to the program’s first NCAA Championships final. The Dores will face 11 teams that earned NCAA Tournament berths last season, eight of which are SEC foes. This includes home matchups against defending NCAA champion Georgia and 2024 champion Texas A&M.

For the second consecutive season, Vanderbilt will travel to Ann Arbor, Michigan for ITA Kickoff Weekend, taking place Jan. 24-25. 56 teams are set to compete across the country in the event, with winners of two matches that weekend earning qualification for the ITA National Team Indoor Championship. 14 teams will move on to the championship bracket, which runs Feb. 6-10.

In nonconference competition, the Dores are slated to host five opponents after their home doubleheader against the Hilltoppers and Bruins. Vanderbilt will take on Northwestern, Middle Tennessee, Austin Peay and Lipscomb, as well as Xavier on Feb. 20, who the Commodores eliminated in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament last season. Outside of the two ITA tournaments, the black and gold will not have an away nonconference match.

Vandy starts SEC play against Missouri on Feb. 22 to begin a five-match conference homestand. The program’s alumni weekend is set to take place during the Feb. 27 match versus Texas A&M and March 1 matchup with Texas. Senior Day will come against Arkansas on April 4. Vanderbilt will also host South Carolina, Ole Miss and Oklahoma.

The Dores have their first road SEC test on March 13 at Mississippi State before traveling to Alabama on March 15. Five of the final seven regular season conference matches will come on the road: LSU, Tennessee, Kentucky, Florida and Auburn. The SEC Tournament hosted by Oklahoma will run April 15-19, with NCAA Regionals set to follow beginning May 1. Vanderbilt has won three of the last 10 SEC Tournament titles while qualifying for the NCAA Tournament every season in that span.
