NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt returns home after two consecutive games on the road to host East Carolina at noon CT on Saturday at the Vanderbilt Lacrosse Complex. The game can be streamed live for free on YouTube.
• The Commodores will present the 2022 Robert Nesi Super Fan Award to Lyle Hull Davis prior to first draw. A Vanderbilt graduate in the class of 1994, Davis was instrumental in laying the foundation for the Vanderbilt lacrosse program and has made significant contributions to the program since.
• The game can be streamed live for free on YouTube. The stream will begin at 11:50 so those watching from home can catch the Super Fan Award presentation.
• Vandy and East Carolina will be meeting for the fourth time. The Commodores won the first meeting in 2019 and both games last season.
• East Carolina carries a three-game win streak into the weekend.
• Vanderbilt fell 15-6 at Louisville on Tuesday. Maddie Souza’s two goals led the team.
• The Commodores trailed by two late in the second quarter but Louisville held the momentum in the second half to pull away.
• Fifth-year senior Gabby Fornia and senior Bri Gross were each named to the ILWomen Midseason All-America list as honorable mentions.
• Gross, who was included on the ILWomen Preseason All-America team, leads Vanderbilt in goals and draw controls and is second in points.
• Fornia is Vanderbilt’s all-time assists leader and ranks second nationally this season in assists and assists per game, leading the AAC in both categories. She also ranks second nationally for career assists among active players with 160.
