NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt student-athletes produced a 3.45 grade-point average for the Spring 2025 semester, marking the 31st-consecutive semester of at least a 3.0 GPA for Commodore student-athletes.
The women’s golf team paced Vandy’s varsity programs, producing a 3.94 GPA for the semester. Head coach Greg Allen’s squad immediately followed up the performance in the classroom by clinching a spot in the NCAA Championships last week thanks to a fifth-place finish at the NCAA Regional in Lexington, Kentucky.
On the men’s side, the cross country squad led the way with a 3.78 GPA for the term.
All told, every varsity program at Vanderbilt produced at least a 3.0 GPA for the semester.
Individually, 59 Commodores had a perfect 4.0 GPA during the term with 197 earning a spot on the Dean’s List. In addition, 349 student-athletes recorded a semester with at least a 3.0 GPA.
The spring semester numbers continued the trend of strong work in the classroom by Commodore student-athletes. Earlier this week, 12 Vanderbilt programs ranked above the national average in the NCAA’s Academic Progress Rate including five that achieved a perfect APR score.
The spring concluded with 90 student-athletes earning their undergraduate degrees from Vanderbilt. Coupled with graduates from December and Summer 2024, a total of 108 student-athletes earned diplomas over the course of the last year.
