Connor Kaiser and Austin Martin were both recently called up to The Show with the Arizona Diamondbacks and Minnesota Twins, respectively. Kaiser logged his first MLB hit on August 10 with an RBI double.
Dansby Swanson is putting together yet another impressive campaign in his third season with the Chicago Cubs. The shortstop owns a 3.1 WAR and has hit 18 home runs, already surpassing his total from 2024.
Mike Yastremski joined the Kansas City Royals after a deadline deal with the San Francisco Giants. Yastrzemski has homered twice in his first 10 games with his new club.

Walker Buehler (Boston Red Sox) and Bryan Reynolds (Pittsburgh Pirates) are both enjoying hot streaks in the second half of the MLB season. Buehler has tossed 22 innings in four starts since the break, owning a 2.86 ERA. He threw six shutout innings against the Padres in his most recent outing on August 8. Reynolds is hitting .307 over the last 22 games with a home run, triple, nine doubles and 10 RBI.
In his 13th season in the majors, Sonny Gray (St. Louis Cardinals) is 11-5 with a 4.06 ERA. He totaled seven strikeouts over seven frames on August 10 to lead the Cardinals past the Cubs.
Back with the Los Angeles Angels, Carson Fulmer has made 10 appearances with 22 strikeouts over 22.2 innings, owning a 3.18 ERA.
In MiLB, Spencer Jones leads all minor league batters with 30 home runs this season. The No. 4 Yankees prospect was tabbed as the International League’s Player of the Month for July. Jones batted a league-best .419 in July with a league-high 11 home runs.
He also led the IL in on-base percentage (.477), slugging percentage (.946) and OPS (1.423). He was second in runs (25) and total bases (70) and was third in hits (31) and RBI (23). He recorded 10 multi-hit games, including consecutive four-hit games on July 19 and 20.
Enrique Bradfield Jr., the Baltimore Orioles’ No. 2 prospect, collected three hits and scored three runs during his second rehab game with High-A Aberdeen on August 7.
RJ Schreck (Toronto Blue Jays) has played 74 games across four levels of minor league ball this season. In 24 games with Triple-A Buffalo, Schreck is hitting .291 with five homers and 12 RBI.
