Vanderbilt through 18 at Moon Golf Invitational

MELBOURNE, Fla. – Vanderbilt women’s golf finished its first round at the Moon Golf Invitational on Saturday with the Commodores carding a 7-over-par 295, tied for 12th place.

Graduate Celina Sattelkau paced the Commodores with a 2-under 70. She sits tied for sixth individually thanks to her five birdies, four of which came on the front nine.

Tillie Claggett notched a 1-over 73 on the day with the help of four birdies herself. Lynn Lim and Ava Merrill both shot 76 for the first round while Virginie Ding finished with a 79.

Auburn leads the team standings at 6-under after 18 holes. While tied for 12th, the Commodores sit just five shots back of seventh place in a tightly-packed field.

Due to inclement weather, no teams will take the course for a second round on Sunday. The tournament will continue Monday as originally scheduled.
