NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Five Vanderbilt women’s tennis student-athletes will travel to Murfreesboro to compete in the annual ITA regional tournament.
The tournament is hosted by Middle Tennessee State and will feature teams from all over the Ohio Valley region.
Vanderbilt enters the tournament as the highest ranked team coming in at No. 8 in the nation.
Senior Amanda Meyer enters the tournament as the No. 1 seed in the singles main draw. Meyer entered the fall season as the No. 66 ranked player in the nation while notching five victories in the first three tournaments.
Freshmen Dasha Kourkina and Marcella Cruz join Meyer in the top seeding of the main draw as the No. 7 and 8 seeds.
In doubles, senior Emma Kurtz and freshman Anna Ross lead the tournament as the No. 1 seed.
The tournament will open on Thursday with the first round of doubles at 5 p.m. CT.
