Sophomore Ben Fogler led the Commodore charge, finishing the event with a five-over par, 211, after firing a final-round 70 at the Magnolia Grove Crossings Golf Course. Fogler finished in a tie for 22nd individually.

The Commodores finished their second round this morning and then completed their final round immediately afterward, and finished with a final total of 892 (305-292-294).

Other Vanderbilt scores for the tournament included Charlie Ewing’s 222 (73-71-78, T-27), Hunter Stewart’s 223 (76-73-74, T-35), Jordan Janico’s 232 (78-76-78, T-59), and Zack Jaworski’s 234 (81-81-72, T-64).

“I thought we put together a solid round today, and I believe it’s something we can build on for the next week and a half of practice before our next tournament,” said Vanderbilt head coach Scott Limbaugh. “We had a couple of par or under rounds today, and I’m proud of the way Ben and Zack played today. We played solid today, but these guys would all tell you that we didn’t play to our standard this week, and I told them we have to own it and grow from it. And I believe these guys have the resiliency to bounce back the next time we compete.”

Auburn led the team standings wire to wire and finished with an 861 (285-292-284), four strokes better than second-place LSU.

Individually, Niclas Carlsson of Auburn won medalist honors with a four-under par, 212. He claimed the individual title by two strokes over Evan Beck of Wake Forest.

Senior Will Snipes competed at the USA Individual Tournament and finished in a tie for fifth with a total of 147 (76-71) at the Magnolia Grove Falls Golf Course (par 71, 7,158 yards).
