ATHENS, Ga. — Vanderbilt was unable to slow down No. 1 Georgia Saturday at Sanford Stadium as the Bulldogs defeated the Commodores 55-0.
The top-ranked Bulldogs scored on their opening drive and didn’t turn back. Georgia scored twice in the first quarter and added two more touchdowns in the second to lead 28-0 at the half.
The Commodores missed a field goal attempt just before halftime.
Georgia kept the pressure up in the second half en route to a 55-0 win.
A pair of Commodores reached double-digit tackles. Jaylen Mahoney totaled 11 to lead the team and Anfernee Orji added 10.
Next up for Vanderbilt is a trip to Missouri Saturday to face the Tigers at 3 p.m. CT on SEC Network.
