NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt soccer dropped its first home contest of the season 1-0 against Tennessee Thursday night at the Vanderbilt Soccer Complex.
Tennessee scored in the 60th minute of the match. Off a Volunteer corner kick, Kameron Simmonds took a shot wide left but Tennessee regained control and Simmonds found the back of the net off a pass from Macaira Midgley.
Vanderbilt took a season-high 13 corner kicks, 11 of which came in the second half and registered 17 shots in the match but were unable to connect for a score.
The Commodores close the regular season 8-5-5.
