KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – After the second day of main draw play at the USTA/ITA Ohio Valley Regional Championship, the Vanderbilt women’s tennis team still has three singles players and two doubles pairs still alive in the main draws.
Jackie Wu knocked off Anouk Faure of Eastern Kentucky, 6-0, 6-0 in her second round match, while Chelsea Preeg picked up a 7-5, 6-4 win over Kentucky’s Jessica Stiles. Lauren Mira defeated Anastasia Dracheva of Miami (Ohio), 6-1, 6-3. Rachael Dillo fell, 6-3, 6-3, to Rosalia Alda of Tennessee.
In the singles consolation bracket, Nelly Radeva won her first two matches to advance to the quarterfinals on Saturday morning.
In the doubles draw, Mira and Preeg won their second round match against Miami’s Stephanie Danesis and Cara Wald, 8-4, and Erica Robertson and Leatu picked up an 8-2 win over Kaysara Mandry and Gabrielle Duncan of Louisville.
