Vanderbilt wraps up Coach LaLance Invite

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Vanderbilt men’s tennis concluded its first invite of the spring season with five individual victories Sunday at the Adams Tennis Complex at Middle Tennessee.

Starting with doubles play, junior Adam Sraberg and freshman Keaton Allwardt teamed up to defeat Memphis pair Marshall Sullivan and Jeremy Taylor 6-3 to collect the tandem’s second doubles victory of the weekend.

In singles, four Dores concluded the invite with victories.

Senior Billy Rowe wrapped up the invite going undefeated in singles play with a straight set win over Memphis’ Jan Pallares 6-4, 6-2.

Sophomore Christiaan Worst dominated to take down Memphis’ Matt Story to pick up his second singles win of the invite. Worst claimed the first set 6-4, but fell in the second 4-6. In the third set, Worst held Story to only one game to secure the match 6-1.

Defeating Memhpis’ David Stevenson in a pro set, Sraberg stepped up to win 8-5.

Allwardt picked up his first singles victory of the weekend by winning straight sets over Sullivan 6-4, 6-2.

Vanderbilt will be back in action to host Nebraksa and Belmont in a doubleheader Jan. 18. The Dores will face Nebraska at noon that day followed by Belmont at 4 p.m.
