NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt and Wake Forest met for 18 innings in a fall exhibition Saturday at Hawkins Field.
The Dores and Demon Deacons traded blows over three six-inning contests. Troy LaNeve homered twice and Davis Diaz tallied four hits, including a double, and drove in a pair of runs.
Raymond Velazquez also homered for the Dores and Calvin Hewett enjoyed a 2-for-3 day with a home run, two RBIs and scored twice.
On the mound, Vandy was led by David Horn Jr., Ethan McElvain and Bryce Cunningham who each turned in two scoreless innings. Horn and McElvain struck out four batters a piece.
