Vanderbilt welcomes community to campus for annual fan day

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt Athletics’ annual Dore Jam is set for Aug. 10, as fans will have the opportunity to meet their favorite Commodore student-athletes, get autographs, listen to live music and participate in an array of family-oriented activities.

Dore Jam, which annually attracts thousands of Commodore fans, will be held from 3-5 p.m. It will be staged for the seventh straight year in the Vanderbilt Multipurpose Facility, located between 25th Avenue South and Natchez Trace.

Head coach Derek Mason and the Vanderbilt football team will be on hand to greet fans and sign free 2019 schedule posters that will be distributed at the facility entrance (located off Children’s Way).

The Vanderbilt women’s soccer team and head coach Darren Ambrose also will be on hand to sign schedule posters.

New to the 2019 edition of Dore Jam, the first 2,000 fans will be able to create their own t-shirt from Hip Hues.

Official mascot Mr. C, Commodore spirit leaders, face painters and balloon artists will be on hand to entertain young fans. Other activities for young fans include inflatables, obstacle courses, soccer skee balls and a kicking station.

A Vanderbilt-themed photo booth will be available to fans attending the event.

Staff from Barnes & Noble at Vanderbilt will be on-site with the latest Vanderbilt Athletics gear and merchandise.

Vanderbilt’s home football schedule includes Georgia (Aug. 31), LSU (Sept. 21), Northern Illinois (Sept. 28), UNLV (Oct. 12), Missouri on Oct. 19, Kentucky on Nov. 16 and East Tennessee State (Nov. 23).

Season tickets for the 2019 are available at the same rates as a year ago. Season ticket packages for the Commodores’ seven-game home schedule starts at only $308 for premium sideline seats and $178 for reserve end zone sections of Vanderbilt Stadium. Tickets can be purchased at VUCommodores.com.
