Dores win 11 total matches as play begins at regional championship

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Vanderbilt men’s tennis team saw its lineup go 8-0 in singles action to highlight the Commodores’ performance Thursday on the opening day of the ITA Ohio Valley Regional Championship.

Competing at both the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center (Louisville) and Eddie Weber Tennis Complex (Bellarmine), the Dores claimed six of eight singles matches in straight sets with both Siim Troost and Nathan Cox dropping just two games apiece. Vandy saw three of its four doubles combinations pick up first-round victories as well.
