MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Vanderbilt closed out its nonconference soccer slate in dominant fashion Sunday, defeating Middle Tennessee State 4-0 at Dean A. Hayes Track & Stadium.
The Commodores opened the scoring in the 13th minute as Raegan Kelley tallied an early goal for the second consecutive game.

Kate Devine was called upon in the 22nd as Middle Tennessee put a long shot on target. Devine dove to her left and parried the ball away to preserve Vandy’s lead.
Vanderbilt continued to control possession on the rain-soaked field and Kelley found the back of the net again in the 39th, her fifth goal on the season.
Rachel Deresky added to Vanderbilt’s lead in the 54th off an assist from Kelley. The goal marked Deresky’s fourth on the campaign.

The Dores added a fourth goal in the 84th off the foot of Hannah McLaughlin. Middle Tennessee’s keeper deflected a ball towards the top of the box where McLaughlin took a touch to create space before going far post for her second goal on the season.
The Commodores closed out the nonconference portion of their schedule unbeaten at 6-0-1. Vanderbilt begins SEC action at home at noon Sunday by playing host to LSU (5-1-2).
