Commodores presented with CWS rings

Nov. 3, 2011

A little over four months after the most historic season in Vanderbilt baseball came to an end the Commodores stood in the middle of a football stadium Saturday, together for the first time since arriving back on campus to hundreds of friends, family and well-wishers in late June. However, after that moment of bliss a lot has changed for a team that will never be forgotten and always be remembered as the first Vanderbilt team to make the trip to Omaha and the College World Series. Over the next few months, 11 Dores signed professional contracts (shattering the school record) and Coach Corbin and his staff landed the top-ranked recruiting class in the nation. Hopefully, creating the perfect cycle to produce regular trips to Omaha for years to come. So as the Commodores’ freshman class watched from the end zone Saturday, a legendary team received the rings they worked so hard for together.
