On campus in Nashville — National Signing Day is upon us, and Vanderbilt’s coaches were up early on Wednesday in anticipation of National Letters of Intent from future Commodores. But recruiting is a year-round effort, and few know that better than Austen Everson, Vanderbilt’s Director of Player Personnel. Everson, a Nashville native, is in charge of the Commodores’ recruiting staff and plays a key role in luring new student-athletes to West End.
Everson took time away from National Signing Day to sit down with the Commodore Insider Podcast. Everson describes his duties in charge of the Commodores’ recruiting staff, what it’s like to recruit today’s college prospect, what he expects from the Class of 2017 and much more.
