NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt student-athlete Enrique Bradfield Jr. received Freshman All-America honors from Collegiate Baseball, the publication announced Wednesday.
With the honors Bradfield became the seventh Commodore in the last three seasons to receive Freshman All-America recognition.
Bradfield enters the weekend as the nation’s leader in stolen bases with 46. The freshman outfielder ranks sixth in the conference in batting average hitting at a .359 mark.
The Hialeah, Florida native, was named the SEC Freshman of the Year this season becoming the third Commodore in program history to win the award and first since 2011. Bradfield also received All-SEC First Team honors and was named to the conference’s All-Freshman Team.
Vanderbilt returns to action at 11 a.m. Friday hosting East Carolina for the team’s first matchup of the NCAA Nashville Super Regional. The contest will air live on ESPN2.
