Demetrius Kemp

Assistant Football Sports Performance Coach

Demetrius Kemp joined the Vanderbilt coaching staff in February of 2021 and serves as an assistant strength coach.

Kemp is a certified strength and conditioning specialist from the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

The Demopolis, Alabama, native was a four-year letterman (2015-18) at Wake Forest, playing in 46 career games, collecting 160 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, three sacks, three interceptions, six caused fumbles, two fumble recoveries and six pass breakups. He played for the Demon Deacons in the 2016 Military Bowl, 2017 Belk Bowl and 2018 Birmingham Bowl.

Kemp and his wife, Sylvia, have two children — Demetrius “Deuce” Jr. and Sadie.
