NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Four quarterbacks combined to throw for nearly 350 yards while leading six scoring drives to help lead the Vanderbilt football offense on six scoring drives en route to a 48-21 victory in the program’s annual Black & Gold Spring Game Saturday at FirstBank Stadium.
Each of the signal callers accounted for at least 75 yards through the air and led a scoring drive while combining to connect with 13 different receivers. The Commodores also gained 116 yards on the ground.
Vandy’s defense ended the opening possession of the day with a Bradley Brown interception while holding its counterpart off the scoreboard in the first quarter. The unit was credited with four tackles for loss including a sack by Daniel Vollmer Jr., broke up five passes and posted five quarterback hurries.
Brock Taylor and Justin Dewers each converted field goals over 50 yards in the contest as well.
Vanderbilt will open the 2026 campaign with a three-game homestead beginning Sept. 5 against Austin Peay.
