NASHVILLE—Cameron Betourne has been dismissed from the Vanderbilt baseball team according to Coach Tim Corbin, who cited a violation of team rules as the reason.
Betourne was a junior pitcher who had pitched 6 2/3 innings this season in five appearances. The Clearwater, Fla., native did not accompany the team to Birmingham for the SEC Tournament.
Pitcher Ty Davis served a one-game suspension during the SEC Tournament opener for a team rules violation.
