2026 Vanderbilt Baseball Summer Camps
High School Camp
High School Camp (Grades 9-12 for 2026-2027)
Dates: 7/12-7/16
Cost: $685
Camp will begin approximately 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 12th and conclude by 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 16th.
Check-In:
Check-in will take place on Sunday from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm at the Indoor Recreation Center/Multipurpose Facility. All campers will be asked to meet in the stands by 3:45pm for camp orientation. The camp is open to any and all entrants (limited only by number, age, grade level and/or gender). All grades are for the incoming 2025-2026 school year.
Camp Conclusion:
Camp will end at 12:00pm on Thursday with an awards ceremony – parents are invited. All campers will be provided with a takeaway lunch (this lunch is for campers only).
Housing:
ALL campers are responsible for housing/hotel on their own. We will provide a discount rate to Holiday Inn Vanderbilt in the coming weeks, but you are welcome to stay wherever you’d like.
Facilities – Meals:
Hawkins Field and the Indoor Recreation Center/Multipurpose Facility will be the site of the High School Prospect Camp. We will also use adjacent fields on the Vanderbilt campus for instruction and game activity. Dinner will be served on Sunday, lunch and dinner will be served Monday through Wednesday, and lunch will be served on Thursday.
Please alert Amy Elkus at baseball@vanderbilt.edu of any food allergies at least two weeks prior to the start of camp so the cafeteria can be prepared.
What to Bring:
Vanderbilt is not liable for theft of loss of camper’s personal property so please label all gear!
- Bat, Glove, Hat, Helmet, Baseball Shoes, Sneakers, Baseball Pants, Shorts and T-Shirts. Your child may wear metal or molded cleats. We suggest molded to protect our field, but metal is fine.

Middle School Camp
Middle School Camp (Grades 6-8 for 2026-2027)
Dates: 7/1-7/2
Cost: $295
Times:
Camp will run from 9:00am to 1:00pm each day. Camp will begin promptly at 9:00am each day – campers should plan to be at the baseball field between 8:30 and 8:45am. Camp will conclude at 1:00 PM each day. You will be required to sign your child out with his coach at the end of each day. Sign out will take place at Hawkins Field each day.
Check-In:
Check-in for Middle School Camp will take place on Wednesday July 1st between 8:15-8:45am at the front entrance of the Indoor recreation center. You will be required to check your child in and out each day. The camp is open to any and all entrants (limited only by number, age, grade level and/or gender). All grades are for the incoming 2026-2027 school year.
Daily Focus:
The Vanderbilt Baseball Camp focuses on fundamentals in a fun and energetic atmosphere. The early part of camp is typically defensive and offensive station work with competitive games following at the end of the morning session.
Camp Conclusion:
Camp will end promptly at 1:00pm on Thursday, July 2nd on Hawkins Field.
Parents Visitation:
Parents are welcome to visit the baseball camp at any time. We request that you stay off the playing field while camp is in session.

Winter Pitching Clinic
Date: January 12, 2026
Purpose
Vanderbilt Baseball staff member Tyler Herb to provide pitchers with a comprehensive, data-driven evaluation of their mechanics, pitch arsenal, and overall performance. This education combines Newtforce biomechanical analysis with Trackman pitch arsenal analysis, delivering personalized feedback and actionable improvement strategies.
Clinic Components
1. Newtforce Biomechanical Analysis
- Force plate integration to measure ground reaction forces, sequencing, and movement patterns.
- Full motion capture to evaluate delivery mechanics.
- Identification of strengths and areas for mechanical improvement.
2. Trackman Pitch Arsenal Analysis
- Detailed pitch-by-pitch tracking, including velocity, spin rate, spin efficiency, horizontal/vertical movement, and release metrics.
- Comprehensive review of pitch shapes, usage tendencies, and potential arsenal optimization.
3. Player Education & Development Support
- Written breakdown and video review of both biomechanical and pitch data.
- Targeted suggestions for mechanical adjustments, pitch design refinements, and training priorities tailored to each player.
Event Structure
Participants: 8 pitchers per event
Arrival Time: 45 minutes prior to bullpen slot for warm-up
Bullpen Duration: 15 minutes (approximately 20–30 pitches)
Total Time Commitment: ~1 hour per pitcher
Rotation Example:
1. Warm-up & throwing program on own in lab (45 minutes)
2. Biomechanical capture during bullpen
3. Trackman data capture during bullpen
4. Wrap-up and data processing
Deliverables to Each Player
- Full biomechanical report outlining key movement patterns
- Trackman pitch arsenal report with visual plots and comparisons
- Specific recommendations for:
- Mechanical adjustments
- Pitch design refinement
- Training priorities
