Commodore Notes
Vanderbilt took two-of-three at Tennessee to win the Commodores first road series of the season… Tennessee rallied by Vanderbilt to win the series opener 8-2 Friday night… Mike Yastrzemski led VU with two hits in the loss… Starter T.J. Pecoraro was pinned with the loss allowing three runs on three hits and three walks over 4.2 innings… The Commodores held off a ninth inning Volunteers rally to even the series Saturday with a 7-4 win… Conrad Gregor and Connor Harrell each had three hits in the win… Steven Rice earned his first career win with 1.1 scoreless innings out of the bullpen… Drew VerHagen entered the game in a bases loaded, no out situation and worked out of the jam turning in a solid four-plus innings… Vandy put the lead off man on in eight of nine innings scoring in eight of nine innings en route to a 12-6 series clinching win at Tennessee… Connor Harrell hit his second home run of the weekend driving in three runs with three hits… Conrad Gregor picked up three hits, including a home run, and Tony Kemp drove in three runs and tripled twice to tie the school record with eight this season… Sam Selman won his team-best seventh game tossing 4.2 innings of relief… Will Clinard worked two scoreless innings to notch his second save in as many days.
