Middle Game Postponed

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Due to field conditions and heavy rain, Vanderbilt’s middle game against Illinois State has been postponed to Sunday at noon from Hawkins Field. The squads will play a doubleheader consisting of two nine-inning games with the finale set to get underway 40 minutes after the conclusion of the opener.

Vanderbilt overcame a four-run first inning deficit and steady rain, scoring 10 unanswered runs on its way to a 10-4 win Friday night.

The Commodores are looking for their seventh consecutive victory. Vanderbilt will send right-hander Patrick Raby (2-0, 0.57 ERA) to the mound against Illinois State right-hander Jeff Lindgren (2-0, 2.50 ERA). The game can be seen on the SEC Network Plus.
