Frequently Asked Questions
What do single game tickets cost?
Bowl tickets are $12 and outfield seats are $7. All seats are reserved. There are convenience fees associated with telephone and on-line transactions so if you want to avoid extra fees and receive the best customer service, stopping by the McGugin Center ticket office Monday-Friday between 8:30-5:00 is your best option.
Where’s the best place to park?
There is free parking in the large flat lots off Natchez Trace, just a block west of Hawkins Field.
When do single game tickets go on sale?
Our box office begins selling tickets to upcoming games on the Monday, two weeks prior to that contest. So, for example, tickets for the three-game series with Florida May 13-15 went on sale Monday, May 2.
Are there tickets on sale at the gate on game day?
That depends on how much anticipation there is for the game and the weather. If the upcoming game or series has sizzle and the sun is shining, depending upon when you arrive at the Hawkins Field ticket window you might find your options limited, if not closed out. We typically have outfield seats on sale if not any remaining stadium bowl tickets before the first pitch but our recent games have sold out.
Do those sitting in the outfield have access to all game amenities?
Yes. Restrooms, food and souvenir concessions are available in nearby Memorial Gymnasium.
Why can’t the vacant seats be filled?
This is a common question, especially during the latter stages of this tremendous season. In short, the answer involves the fact that we are not permitted to sell the same seat twice and that we have not found a reliable and effective way for fans to exchange unused tickets. People are busy and ticket exchanges require advance planning on the part of the ticket holder. In truth, nobody seems to have solved the sport’s no-show dilemma from the New York Yankees to the college teams fortunate enough to have a bigger demand than supply for the tickets. Our administrative team continues to seek better ways.
Why does Vanderbilt have an internet fee to watch the games?
We would prefer that our live game streaming was free of charge to maximize viewership, but our web host, CBS, dictated a fee for live games. However, Vanderbilt was able to keep press conferences and post-game interviews free of charge for all sports and we reduced the CBS’ standard month and annual fee significantly. Baseball fans can watch an excellent four-camera production with our official game broadcast audio for just $9.95 a month, a little over a dollar a game.
