Black and Gold Series underway this week

NASHVILLE – Vanderbilt’s annual Black and Gold Series gets underway on Thursday at Hawkins Field with first pitch scheduled for 5 p.m. The three-game series continues on Friday at 5 p.m. before wrapping on Saturday at 1 p.m.
 
Admission is free for fans all three days. Fans are encouraged to park in 25^th Avenue Garage and can do so at no cost. The weekend set marks the conclusion of a highly competitive fall training session. The Commodores will return to action again in January.

The three-game series will feature seven innings on Thursday and Friday. Saturday’s inning total is undetermined. If one team takes the first two games of the series, they take the run differential from both games in Game 3 and start that matchup with those runs.  
 
BANQUET TICKETS ON SALE 
The Vanderbilt baseball program will host its annual team banquet on Saturday, Feb. 2 at the Omni Hotel in downtown Nashville.
 
Head coach Tim Corbin will introduce the 2019 players and staff as well as recognize the program’s 2018 award winners. The event opens at 5 p.m. with the start of the silent auction. Players are scheduled to sign team posters from 5:30-6:30 p.m.
 
Tickets are available by clicking here or can be purchased at the ticket office in McGugin Center. For a fourth consecutive year, admission is priced at only $50 and includes a buffet-style dinner and complimentary valet parking.
