Annie Menees Named to SEC Good Works Team 4/20/2005 Vanderbilt senior tennis player Annie Menees earned a spot on the SEC Good Works Team as announced the by the league office. The SEC sponsors Good Works Teams in all 20 sports. The Good Works Team looks to highlight athletes from each school who gives back to their community in superior service efforts. The St. Louis, Mo. native helps prepare meals for families staying at the Ronald McDonald House… Helps host a sports day for local school children, instructing then in tennis and other sports… Helped prepare and host a holiday party for underprivileged children… Visits children in the outpatient clinics at Vanderbilt’s Children’s Hospital… Volunteers in a 2-3 year-old classroom of normally-developing students, as well as students with various disabilities… Played in the “24-Hour Tennis Marathon” to help raise money for St. Louis Forest Park’s Dwight Davis Tennis Center… Takes underprivileged children to Vanderbilt Football games and participates in activities before the game.
