NASHVILLE, Tenn. — For their exceptional singles play this season, senior Frances Altick and junior Sydney Campbell have earned ITA All-American status. Achieving lifelong goals, Altick and Campbell are cemented in the Vanderbilt history books and earn spots on the wall of All-Americans, which is on display in the Currey Tennis Center.
This is the second year in a row that more than one student-athlete from the Vanderbilt women’s tennis team earns the All-American title. In just two seasons the `Dores have fielded four All-Americans with Campbell, Ashleigh Antal and Astra Sharma earning 2015 honors. Campbell is now a two-time singles All-American, with Altick capping off her Commodore career with the prestigious honor.

A native of Monroe, La., Altick is the 11th women’s tennis player to earn the All-American distinction and came after receiving a top 16 seed in the NCAA singles tournament.
Having made it all the way to the Round of 16 in the NCAA singles tournament, Altick amassed a 109-34 career win record. With a 39-7 single season slate, Altick also owns the Vanderbilt single season win record. Frances graduated in May with a degree in psychology, allowed only two losses in dual play and made her WTA debut at the Volvo Car Open.
