HOOVER, Ala. — Due to impending rain storms on Sunday afternoon in the Birmingham area, the Southeastern Conference has announced it will move the baseball tournament championship game from 3 p.m. CT to a Noon CT start.
The SEC will have a live webcast of the contest on secsports.com. Fans in the Nashville area can catch the radio broadcast live on WNSR 560 AM. The game will be televised regionally on Fox Sports Net on a tape-delayed basis starting at 3 p.m. Walkup tickets will be available at Regions Park.
Rain has caused havoc in the Saturday semifinal rounds in Hoover. The Vanderbilt-Arkansas game was delayed 25 minutes to rain, with the first Georgia-LSU game delayed for nearly five hours.
No. 1 seed LSU pounded No. 6 seed Georgia, 16-0, to force a second game with the winner advancing to the championship game on Sunday. The second Tigers-Bulldog game is not televised, but people can watch it live on secsports.com . It will be a seven-inning contest starting at 9 p.m. If weather causes the interruption of this contest, it will be picked up on Sunday morning at a time to be determined.
