NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt women’s soccer’s Leila Azari has been named to the 2020-21 CoSIDA Academic All-District Team for District 3, the organization announced Thursday evening.
Earning two degrees across her four years at Vanderbilt, Azari posted a 3.8 GPA as an undergrad student and graduated in three years before completing her master’s degree in medicine, health & society with a 4.0 GPA this year.
A mainstay in Vanderbilt’s lineup since her freshman season, Azari has played in 75 games in black and gold and stands tied for eighth on the program’s all-time list for most assists in a career with 22.
Azari’s honor comes after she was named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll in 2018, 2019 and 2020 while earning First-Year Academic Honor Roll accolades as a freshman in 2017.
