2016 Omaha Challenge - Day 3

Dec. 6, 2016

The VandyBoys Omaha Challenge rolled into Day 3 of the competition with the low-bar sled push, max push-ups, the mile run and the Deck of Cards.

A seemingly simple, unweighted sled push started the day. The event was anything but easy, as the 50-yard push proved to be a tough task for many. Paxton Stover cruised to victory with a time of 24.3 and was followed closely by Alonzo Jones’ time of 27.7.

Push-ups were up next for the Commodores with the maximum number of push-ups in one minute the goal. Walker Grisanti blew the field away with an amazing 73 push-ups in 60 seconds. Ro Coleman wasn’t too far behind with 67 in the minute.

The mile run was a quick run with Penn Murfee leading the way and cracking the six-minute mark, turning in a time of 5:55. Will Toffey followed with a time of 6:07 for second place.

The Deck of Cards wrapped up the day. Each suite represented a different exercise with the number of the card representing the number of reps. A card with hearts meant burpees for the teams, spades meant 5-yard lateral shuttle, diamonds were cone hops and clubs equaled sit-ups. Team Murfee took the top spot in the event.
