SEC Media Days are this week, signaling the unofficial start to the 2012 football season as head coaches and select players from across the league gather in Birmingham, Ala., with hundreds of media members from across the country.

As members of the media meet with Vanderbilt Head Coach James Franklin, quarterback Jordan Rodgers, running back Zac Stacy and defensive back Trey Wilson on Tuesday at Vanderbilt’s appearance at SEC Media Days, they will rely on Vanderbilt’s annual football fact book as a resource.

The 2012 Vanderbilt Football Fact Book can now be viewed online and includes a season preview, team roster, bios on coaches and players, a review from 2011, a complete historical record book of Vanderbilt’s gridiron history and more.

2012fbfactbookcover200.jpgHere are a few items to look for when thumbing through the publication:

– Unlike the printed version for the media where all inside images are black and white (per NCAA rules), the online version includes color images.

– A timeline of James Franklin’s first year on campus – pgs. 4-5.

– New photos of Commodores in the NFL – pgs. 8-9.

– In keeping with Coach Franklin’s philosophy of having each player earn their starting position in the fall, a depth chart is not included. Instead, a look at Vanderbilt’s position depth is included on pg. 26.

– Number changes for returning players.
