With the start of the 2004 Vanderbilt Baseball season less than two weeks away, the coaches and players can’t wait to get the season going. Each weekday leading up to first pitch, VUCommodores.com will sit down with the three Commodore seniors and the four coaches in a segment we call — 10 Questions With.

VUCommodores.com: What is the best baseball movie of all-time?
Cesar Nicolas: The Sandlot.

VU: What web site do you check first everyday?
CN: VUCommodores.com… It’s set as my homepage.

VU: What CD is in your player right now?
CN: A hip-hop mix.

VU: Who on the team talks the best chatter?
CN: Nick Pilkington.

VU: What’s the most obscure place you’ve ever played baseball?
CN: In the Dominican Republic – I played on a field with corn stalks as the outfield fence. It was awesome.

VU: What is the biggest game on the schedule this year (to you personally)?
CN: The South Carolina series.

VU: What major league ballpark would you like to play in?
CN: Yankee Stadium.

VU: What pregame/in-game superstitions do you have?
CN: Jumping over the foul line: Right foot on the field and the left foot off the ground.

VU: How do you break in a new glove?
CN: Just play catch until it feels comfortable.

VU: Tell us some interesting fact about you.
CN: I went to the same high school as A-Rod.
