Hadley Brown enters her senior season as a veteran for the Commodores. She scored 13 goals last year and added two assists but has also excelled off the field. Twice she has been named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll.
VUCommodores.com caught up with Brown to preview her senior season and much more.
Why did you choose Vanderbilt?
The amazing academics, beautiful campus and the coolest city ever. I’m a huge country music fan. Also, the fun, talented and amazing girls on the team to go along with the great coaching staff. And to be honest, it was the first college campus I stepped onto that made me feel that this is the place for me.
What is your favorite Vanderbilt lacrosse memory?
My favorite memories are the hype dance parties we have in the locker room after we win a game. We definitely have many of those to come this season.
What do you love about Nashville?
The amazing restaurants! Also, the availability of amazing music all the time. Broadway, the people and the fact that I can wear my cowboy boots on any given day and people won’t question me.
What is a fun fact about yourself?
This is a tough question. I can do a handstand. I know a scary amount of words from too many Broadway musicals and movies. My little brother is a stud and plays lacrosse at North Carolina. That’s all I got.
What are your goals for the season?
My goals are to see constant improvement in my team and myself and make it to the postseason.
