Commodores to Take Part in 2019 Junkanoo Jam

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt women’s basketball will compete in the 2019 edition of the 17th-annual Junkanoo Jam at Resorts World Bimini, The Bahamas, from Nov. 27-Dec. 1.
 
Other teams competing in the tournament include Georgia Tech, Kansas State, LSU, Memphis, Michigan State, Rutgers and Seton Hall.
 
“We have a group of talented teams set to join us in the Bahamas next year,” women’s tournament director Becky Adams said. “The teams will surely enjoy their time on the island competing and experiencing all that the island has to offer.”
 
The Junkanoo Jam is entering its 17th year in the Bahamas as a top NCAA Division I women’s basketball tournament. Originally held in Freeport on Grand Bahama Island, the tournament was moved to the island of Bimini in 2016.
