White Makes a Watch List

Graduate transfer up for Dave Rimington Award this fall

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Vanderbilt graduate transfer Jordan White has been named to the watch list for the Dave Rimington Award, it was revealed on Friday.

It’s the second season in a row that the native of Largo, Maryland, has been included on the preseason list for the honor presented annually to the most outstanding center in NCAA Division I college football.

White joined the Commodores in the spring after spending the previous two years at Liberty. The highest-graded returning interior offensive lineman in the SEC this fall, he played 759 snaps at left guard and 22 at center for the Flames in 2024 and earned a Pro Football Focus run block grade of 89.0 for the season.

In 2023, White was named second-team All-Conference USA by the league’s coaches and was selected first-team all-conference by Phil Steele after giving up just one sack on 945 offensive snaps at center. His efforts that fall helped the Flames end up among the top 10 of FBS programs in rushing offense, sacks allowed, total offense, time of possession and scoring offense.

White played his first three seasons at the collegiate level at West Virginia.

Vanderbilt will kick off the 2025 campaign on Aug. 30 at 6 p.m. when it plays host to Charleston Southern at FirstBank Stadium. Season ticket, mini-plan and single-game ticket Information for the Commodores’ seven home contests this fall is available here.
