Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational Final Results
The Vanderbilt women’s golf team finished the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational in a tie for 10th after Sunday’s play with a score of 922 (291-312-319). Megan Grehan led the Commodores with a three-round total of 227 (71-77-79), which tied for 29th place.
Vanderbilt’s other finishers Sunday included freshman Marina Alex, who shot a team-best 77 on Sunday to post a 229 (71-77-79, T-36) for the tournament, and junior Brooke Goodwin, who carded a 232 (71-77-84, T-41) on the weekend. Freshman Andrea Messer tied for 62nd with a 238 (75-83-80), and senior Jacqui Concolino tied for 75th with a 243 (80-80-83). Senior Christine Brown played as an individual and posted a total of 259 (86-86-87, 91).
Purdue won the tournament with an eight-over par 872 (291-287-294), six strokes better than second-place Arizona State, who ended the tournament with an 878 (287-291-300).
The Boilermakers’ Maria Hernandez won medalist honors with a six-under par, 210 (70-69-71), three strokes in front of Arkansas’ Lucy Nunn (70-70-73-213).
The Commodores’ next tournament is the Ping ASU Invitational April 3-5 in Tempe, Arizona.
