NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Vanderbilt swim team begins its 25th season Thursday evening hosting the top-ranked Florida Gators 7:00 pm CT at Centennial Sportsplex.
Vandy comes off a strong 2014-15 season where the ‘Dores broke eight school records as well as six freshmen records. VU’s three freshmen are expected to make their Commodore debuts, swimming in their first collegiate meet against SEC foe Florida.
“We are looking forward to hosting Florida at home,” said head coach Jeremy Organ. “The first meet of the year is a building block for the rest of the season. The girls have really had a great fall up to this point and have been working extremely hard.”
Scouting the Gators: The Florida Gators head to West End after earning third in last season’s SEC Championships in Auburn. Florida has competed in one meet so far in the 2015-16 season, taking first place in the Florida Invitational against five other squads.
