PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. — The top-seeded Commodores defeated Reinhardt 4-1 this morning to secure a spot in the NIT Championship semifinals.
In doubles play, Vanderbilt pairs Joubert Klopper and Macsen Sisam, and Nathan Cox and Michael Ross won their respective courts 6-0. With each doubles match counting as its own point, the Dores concluded doubles play with a 2-0 lead over the Eagles.
After moving indoors due to weather, the match continued with singles play. Ross won straight sets (6-1, 7-5), followed by Klopper sweeping his Eagles opponent, 6-0, 6-0, to clinch the victory for the Dores.
Vandy moves on to play the winner of the UC Davis/Army match in the semifinals on Friday.
