Vanderbilt basketball’s memorable and magical past will be in full display August 8th at Memorial Gym in the Commodores’ second annual Alumni Game, with festivities beginning at 10:30 a.m. in the main gym. Admission to the event is free to the public, with doors opening at 10 a.m. at the Southeast Entrance to Memorial Gym. Free parking will be available in Medical Center Lots 73, 74, and 75.
The festivities in the main gym begin at 10:30 a.m. with the Alumni Game, when past players take the floor. There will also be shooting and skills contests, and following the game, autographs will be available from both past and present players beginning at approximately 12 p.m. in the practice gym.
Some other details from the August 8th event include:
– Free, general admission for fans.
– Highlight videos of former players and great moments in Vanderbilt basketball history.
– Great raffle prizes, including signed memorabilia from alumni.
– 1,000 commemorative 2015 Vanderbilt Legends Poster.
“I’m excited and honored for everyone in the Vanderbilt basketball family to come back to Nashville and celebrate Commodore basketball,” said Vanderbilt head coach Kevin Stallings. “We are going to have a great time, and I hope that our fans will come and celebrate the event with our players, both past and present.”
