Vanderbilt Football All-Access Show Set for SEC Network Debut

Program follows the Commodores’ journey over the last 18 months

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The feature “All-Access: Vanderbilt Football,” providing a comprehensive behind-the-scenes look at the Commodore program and its historic journey in 2024, will make its debut on SEC Network on Tuesday.

Narrated by Grammy Award nominee and longtime Vanderbilt supporter comedian Nate Bargatze, the 30-minute show can first be seen Tuesday at 6 p.m. CT. It will re-air at 10:30 p.m. as well as later this summer as part of Vanderbilt’s SEC Network Takeover Day.

The program begins with a look back to the Dores’ 2024 winter and spring seasons, with Vandy coming off a 2-10 season that saw E. Bronson Ingram Chair in Football Clark Lea implement several significant changes including taking over duties as full-time defensive coordinator and adding Jerry Kill (Chief Consultant to the Head Coach | Senior Offensive Advisor), Tim Beck (Offensive Coordinator) and Robert Stiner (Director | Football Sports Performance) to the staff.

Viewers will have the opportunity to see the Commodores go through offseason workouts as well as spring drills, leading into their season-opening 34-27 overtime victory over Virginia Tech the last weekend of August. It also shows how Vandy used a double-overtime defeat at No. 7 Missouri in Week 4, which dropped its overall record to 2-2 at the time, to prepare for what would become the school’s first-ever win over the No. 1 team in the country when the Dores beat Alabama, 40-35, two weeks later.

Also highlighted are Vanderbilt’s win the following week at Kentucky, a three-point loss at home against No. 5 Texas at the end of October, and the Commodores’ visit to Auburn the next weekend that resulted in the program’s sixth victory of the season to clinch postseason bowl eligibility.

The show also features an in-depth look at Vandy’s win over Georgia Tech in the Birmingham Bowl, the school’s first postseason victory since 2013, before highlighting winter work outs and spring practice last semester.

In addition to being voiced by Bargatze, the program also showcases insights from Lea along with members of the staff and student-athletes and Vice Chancellor for Athletics and University Affairs and Athletic Director Candice Storey Lee leading into the 2025 opener against Charleston Southern, which will kick off at FirstBank Stadium at 6 p.m. on Aug. 30.
