For the second consecutive week, Vanderbilt’s football game is sold out, the ticket office announced on Friday. Tickets for the Vanderbilt vs. Auburn game have been a hot commodity throughout the ticket sales season. It has been 16 years since the Commodores enjoyed consecutive sellouts in Vanderbilt Stadium. The last time it occurred was in September of 1996 with games against Notre Dame and Ole Miss.
“We are excited about the opportunity to have a sold out Vanderbilt Stadium for back-to-back home games,” Director of Sales and Marketing Steve Walsh said, “We feel this represents the continued growth and interest of Vanderbilt football throughout the Nashville and Middle Tennessee community.”
Fans who purchased tickets to the game are encouraged to arrive early to avoid long lines at Will Call and congestion around the stadium. Additionally, Vanderbilt warns fans to be very cautious of tickets purchased on the streets, as counterfeit tickets have been an issue in the past.
Tickets remain available for Vanderbilt’s game versus Massachusetts on October 27 and can be purchased by calling the Vanderbilt Ticket Office at 615-322-GOLD (4653).
