NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt men’s tennis’ Daniel Valet will begin his journey in the main draw of the 2016 ITA All-American Tennis Championships Thursday, Oct. 6th at 11:30 am CT.
With action taking place in Tulsa, Okla. at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center, Valent and 63 of the best men’s tennis players in the country will begin competing in the first national championship of the 2016-17 season.
Ranked 21st in the ITA’s preseason poll, the Zurich, Switzerland native bypassed pre-qualifying and qualifying rounds and will kickoff the round of 64 facing an SEC foe. Valent is matched up against Florida’s Alfredo Perez, a sophomore who begins the season at No. 37 in the country.
The main draw of the tournament runs from Thursday, Oct. 6th to Sunday, Oct. 9th.
