Though the team is primarily composed of freshmen this year, the Vanderbilt men’s tennis crew is headed by two nationally-ranked upper classmen in senior Charlie Jones and junior Ryan Lipman, who were both named by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association in the preseason poll.
Lipman, who led the team last season with a 24-12 overall record, was listed as the No. 13 overall by the ITA. Jones made the list in the 102 spot after last year’s 20-10 record.
Lipman and Jones are back for the 2011-2012 season, ready to lead the young team through both experience and in the rankings.
