Two Dores Earn Weekly Honors

Gabby Putman records third straight week on conference honors list

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Gabby Putman and Anna Taraboletti each earned weekly conference honors on Monday afternoon. Putman received her third straight recognition from the conference and first as the Defensive Player of the Week while Taraboletti was named the American Midfielder of the Week after helping the Dores defeat Old Dominion on Saturday.

Putman, a freshman midfielder, tallied a career-high 14 draw controls in the 17-2 road win. The 14 wins on the circle tied the program record for most in a game, set by Kiera Runske earlier this season. The Cicero, New York, native has already tallied 54 draw controls so far this season, topping last season’s leader in the category.

Taraboletti had a career day Saturday, posting a personal-best four goals off four shots and causing a career-high-tying three turnovers. The junior out of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, has reached double figures this season in goals (12), points (16), ground balls (10) and caused turnovers (12).

The Dores close their three-game road swing on Wednesday at Louisville. Opening draw is set for 11 a.m. on ACCNX.
